Vista Landscape was founded in the Sonoma Valley in 1979 by Robert Martinez, built on a respect for horticulture, craftsmanship, and long-term stewardship of the land. From the beginning, Robert emphasized education and proper practices in plant science, soil health, and irrigation to create landscapes designed to thrive over time.

As the company grew, investments in specialized equipment and a dedicated fleet expanded Vista Landscape’s capabilities and reputation throughout the North Bay. Over the decades, the company has developed broad expertise in landscape construction and maintenance, with particular strength in irrigation systems and low-voltage landscape lighting.

In 2012, Robert’s oldest son, Andreas Martinez, joined the company, bringing a background in Business and Spanish from San Diego State University along with professional experience in small business operations. His involvement marked a new chapter, blending modern strategy with the company’s long-standing values.
